Sentier is a free logic puzzle game made by Filzo Games. No account, no ads, no purchases. This page explains exactly what the game counts, what it does not, and how to turn counting off.
In short
- Your progress and settings stay in your browser, on your device.
- If counting is on, the game sends a few anonymous totals, without cookies, to find out whether people like it.
- No account, no name, no email address, no advertising, no tracking across websites.
- You can turn counting off at any time, on the home screen or in Settings.
What stays on your device
Your progress (grids completed, paths in progress, times, stars), your settings and the figures shown in “My data” are saved in your browser's storage on this device. They are never sent online. You can export or delete them in “My data”; clearing this site's data in your browser also deletes them.
What is counted
When counting is on, two things are measured:
- Four daily totals: daily grid completed (first time on this device), player came back on another day, challenge link shared, challenge link opened. Each time, the game sends a single word (for example “daily_done”) and the server adds 1 to that day's total. Nothing else is stored: no identifier, no IP address, no information about your device.
- Visits, with Cloudflare Web Analytics: pages viewed, country, the website you came from, browser and device type, and page loading speed. We only see these figures as totals. Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies and no local storage, and does not fingerprint visitors.
To know whether you came back on another day, the game keeps only two dates on your device: your first visit and your last visit. They are never sent, and they are reset after 13 months.
What is not collected
- No account, name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- No cookies, no advertising identifier, no device identifier, no player identifier.
- No precise location: at most the country, for visits.
- No data sold, shared with advertisers or used for advertising.
How long data is kept
- Daily totals: deleted automatically after 25 months.
- The two dates on your device: reset after 13 months, and deleted when you turn counting off.
- Visit figures: kept by Cloudflare as totals, under Cloudflare's own retention rules.
- Data on your device: until you delete it.
Hosting: Cloudflare
The game is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). The daily totals are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and visits are measured by Cloudflare Web Analytics. Like any web host, Cloudflare necessarily receives your IP address to deliver the pages; the game itself never stores it. Cloudflare is a US company certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
If you play on another website that embeds the game (for example itch.io), that website's own privacy policy also applies.
How to turn counting off
On the home screen, switch off “Count my plays anonymously”, or open Settings (⚙) → Privacy. From that moment nothing is sent, and the two dates kept on your device are deleted. If your browser asks websites not to track you (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track), counting is off by default.
Your rights
The totals contain no identifier, so nobody, including us, can link them to you. In the European Union, you can contact your data protection authority (the CNIL in France) if you have a concern.

Changes
If what the game counts changes, this page will be updated first, with a new date.
